当研究室から博士課程の上西君による成果報告です！多発性硬化症で臨床で用いられる薬剤Fingolimodをタウ病態モデルマウスに投与すると、脳内CD8陽性T細胞を増加させ、神経変性を増悪させることを見出しました。認知症におけるタウ病態形成に末梢免疫系が関与している傍証を明らかにしました。
